A few of my favorite things

This is my favorite chick! I hope it's a girl! She has a mow-hawk on her head! (I say she because he's are going to be eaten this year!!!) :)

Destiney and Boss are dancing together. She loves to play with her Bosh. Also, blocks are her new favorite toys! She builds cities around me quiet often. She is growing so fast!

I love the mornings out here. Look at the different layers of clouds. That is just so amazing to me. Oh, and there's a pic of my new van!

Nothing really new is going on. I go back to the docs on the 24th to get more ex-rays to see if my bone has healed or not. I pray that it has. I feel like I'm going insane just sitting here 24/7! I know I'll make it though. All things happen for a reason. And I know God won't put on us more than we can handle. It just feels like we can't handle it!!! Oh, and, my husband and I are going through the book "The Love Dare". It comes from the movie Fireproof. (Written and directed by the same church that did Facing the Giants.) It's a 40 day dare to love each other unconditionally. We're on day 1 today. It's going to be a tough one to get through, but, I have faith.

Update on life

So, right now, since I broke my leg a few days ago, I have the time to update everything. You don't realize how busy your life is until you're sitting on your bottom. My friend tells me I need to be less Martha and more Mary. (The story of Martha and Mary in the New Testament) So, I thought this would be a great time to update my photos and all that fun stuff.
This is Destiney playing with the bull horn at the rodeo.

And here she's getting ready for her very first beauty pagent. Daddy is so proud of her. She did her little cat walk, in the rain, and won first place. She has that wave down to a tee. And it's her natural wave.

See, she uses it every where. Here, she's waving to the people in the parade

William liked this ride so much, he spent $5. It's one dollar per minute.

My little Buda Bear is growing up so fast. She can ride the rides all by herself now.

Desi loves riding horses. They have a horse at the bank and every time we're there, that' where she has to go, to the horse, so she can ride on it.
And Troy, he knows everyone. Here's one of Aaylia (Buda Bear) Grandpa/Dad and Desi

And here is William and Destiney after they got their hair cut. I told William I don't mind if he has long hair, but he has to take care of it. And Desi, well, we only cut her bangs. Her hair goes down to the middle of her back.
And then she got into all the winter stuff. Although at 30 degrees, you would think it's winter, but in all actuallality, it's still fall. Today, it's going to be 75 degrees. So, the weather is all over the map, have to have all kinds of cloths out.
Monday night we had company. They brought dinner, knowing I won't be able to cook for awhile, and fellowshipped with us (which was so wonderful) Desi discovered that Jerry has hair on his chest. She's going in to check it out again. :)

Tuesday was rocker day at the school. I tried my hardest to get a mowhawk in Williams hair, and it just wasn't happening. I did put black eye liner on him, and he looked more emo. People believed that he was a screamo type of kid that day.
And that's about it for the updates. Il'l be glad when my 26 days are up, and until then, I can do my scrapbooking and update my online stuff and all the things that I'm normally to busy to do.

Sunday was Amazing

Mr. B preached on Sunday. It was an awesome morning!! As you can see, Pastor Greg handed the floor over to Mr. B, and all seemed so normal, and he again looked like a very nice dressed up Mormon!! Hahaha! :) He talked for a few minutes and then said that he wanted to be real, and show the real him, and he pulled off the jacket!!! That's the Mr. B. we all know and love! He asked us why we came to Church today. He told us a revival is for Christians to renew their faith and an Evangelist is to get the non-Christians to know that Jesus died for them. He let us know that he was afraid our church/city, state might not see a revival if they don't get real. Give it all up. Repent for the Kingdom of God is near. Come clean with God!!!
Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish in the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
God made us in His image so he could have a relationship with Him!!! He gave us free will to choose Him or to not choose Him so we could have a relationship with Him! Not a mandatory relationship, but a relationship that we want to be in.
Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
James 4:14 "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."
3 people gave their life to God (AMEN!!!) and 1 re-dedicated their life to Christ. It was awesome. Afterwards, Greg "Licensed" Tim (Mr. B). It was an honor to see that happen.

When Church was finished with, Donna and Greg, and many others surprised Mr. B with a birthday cake for his 50Th birthday!!! He was really surprised!
And that's how our Sunday went. It was truly awesome and a blessing. Thank you Mr. B for being a part of our church and for sharing your faith with the rest of us.

One week later...

So, I've been back from Utah a week tomorrow. It seems like yesterday that we were there. I really miss Jacque & Crystal. I miss Dawn, Ronnie and all of their wonderful children (7 to be exact) and how smooth their household ran. (Which I am now currently working on my household...it's so much easier not to have to yell, but to just be firm, or remove privileges.) I miss Holly and her bubbly ways. I miss the conversations with Patti and John. And Jacque, I really miss talking with you until the wee hours of the night. It reminded me of when my mom had company, and they'd stay up all night talking and sharing. How I long to go back, and it is in my vision to visit there with all of you again, sooner than later.
But, I love my family here too. And it's been a rough week. My little Destiney does not want me out of her sight! She must have really missed me!!! And some days it feels like the devil is quick to attack; but if you look at the positive side of things, there was a great attendance of youth on Sunday night! They were hungry to hear about our mission trip out to Utah, and what we did, and to visit with us and eat hot dogs, look at pics and videos and socialize. Tuesday and Thursday we had a good group of people show up for bread and cloths, and everything went smoothly. And Wednesday night we had a good group of dedicated members who came to help box up the food for food distribution on Saturday. So, even though we are hungry for more, I see the needs we are meeting, and the people who come, who we can witness to, and pray for...And for the ones who we'd like to get to know better and fellowship with more at church (and outside of church)(like we had in Utah) that hunger we are desiring, God can fulfill. I pray often for fellowship like we had in Utah. To bond with people here, in this small town, like we did in Utah. And I know that God wants that for us, too.
Today is a beautiful day (85 in August is really pretty cool for out here) and I think the kids would have fun at the park. So, we are going to go and enjoy the day.

Day 1 Mission Trip

So, a friend of ours got these journals for us to write in, and I just wanted to share the messages that she left for me before I type out my entries.

Amy,
We had such sweet memories of the New Orleans Mission Trip. Please use this Journal to Record your thoughts and feelings each day. I look back on my thoughts of each mission trip and they encourage my walk with the Lord. My Prayers & Love will be with you my friend! March ON!

And on the next page she wrote:
Encouragement is the gift Chuck Swindoll describes as a “Hope transplant” to someone in need. Amy you’re a good encourager!

I just wanted to share that, because it really meant a lot to me!!!

Friday 08-01-08 Day 1

We made it on the highway at 5:20 am. 20 minutes behind schedule is not that bad! So far, the highways are pretty clear. God is with us.

We went through Weatherford and there were 100’s of Windmills.

At 7:45 am we stopped at Loves in Elk City.

8:40 am we arrived in Texas!

We stopped in Groom Texas. The Cross there is so awesome! It’s huge! And all the stages of the Crucifix and one shows “Veronica” wiping the sweat from Jesus’ face. And they are finishing the Last Supper. I really liked the Empty Tomb. But my favorite part was the cloth. Where they think Jesus’ body left an impression in the cloth. You could see His face and handprints perfectly. Oh yeah, Mr. B is not afraid to talk to anyone. He finds much pleasure in meeting all types of new and different people.

2 pm tire blew-wow-Greg is an awesome driver! We had no problems pulling over into the center divider (we couldn’t pull over to the right side of the road because there was a semi beside us)! We’re somewhere in New Mexico! Only 45 minutes on the side of the road. Someone even asked if we needed help! YEAH!
